Unusual Space
Made for Mashup Game Jam 2. The theme was Unconventional Means. I chose to make a game around this by having a space shooter where your bullets fire in a random angle, but screen wrap. Soon the game becomes a chaotic mess where you're trying to kill all the aliens while still keeping track of where you are and not getting hit! Move the ship with mouse and left click to fire. Music made in BeepBox, art in Piskel, game in GDevelop 5.

New update is out (only web and Windows), changes some graphics, adds enemies firing, and max of 25 bullets
I appreciate you made this in really limited time, but there is literally no game element in here. You just stay still, keep down the mouse button and there's literally no way you can die.
Probably better to implement the suggestions below, some other ideas:

Also, adding in the enemies shooting back so you can't just stay in the same spot.
cool idea but theres not really much to the game then shoot maybe add a shop were you can buy power ups and make the game a bit harder maybe a round system but this game was cool good music and the game was made in 1 day oh and one more thing the aliens need more a better pathfinding good luck if your gonna make more of it

A good game. But it really is just too easy. Make the aliens go faster with time maybe and maybe give them more health. Maybe even spawn more of them. And infinite bullets also seem too OP. Maybe add reloading or a cooldown. But a really cool game I must say... and in such a short period of time
The aliens do go faster over time, and I'm working on a patch that changes graphics and limits onscreen bullets.
Cool idea but the game seems too easy with the ability to just keep firing bullets. I think it might be more fun if you ramp up the spawn rate of the enemies as you play, or maybe cap the number of bullets that can be active at once to like 10 so you have to dodge the aliens more often. Great job producing a game so quickly!
